My live experience.

It can be difficult to add live content to a portfolio. Even if a video is added, the beauty of live production is how much better it is in-person. However, adding this section allows me to display the production scale that I have worked with in my experience.

Cedarville University - Chapel

Linked here are some chapels that I ran Front-of-House audio for. While it does not capture the actual in-house mix, as Cedarville University has a dedicated, separate mix and mixer for the livestream and video, it shows the scale of the production, the quality, and the audience of over 5,000 students.

(For the chapels with speakers Trey Storr (SGA Chapel) and President Dr. Thomas White, the worship set is split between both bookends of the chapel.)

Internships & Jobs

Through the internship at Answers in Genesis that I was able to hold as well as my other jobs through Production Services (highlighted above in the chapel production) and my role as the jazz band sound engineer, I have experience beyond just running an event or show, but also setting it up and tearing it down.

Further, my role at Answers in Genesis gave me the unique opportunity and experience as a stagehand, stage manager, and lighting and audio tech for concerts and other large events.

Church A/V

This is where I first got my start in the audio world. In 10th grade, I had the opportunity to volunteer for my home church’s A/V team. This consisted of running both sound and the cameras, sometimes simultaneously. I got my start on an Allen & Heath Qu-32 and luckily, the cameras were just joystick controlled.

I continue to volunteer for A/V at my current regular church in Xenia, OH, where I run sound on a Roland M-400, while also helping out my home church in an advisory role on the occasion that I am in the area.
